WUVC 40 to Air First Health Public Awareness Special Program

Program kicks off Univision’s recently launched health initiative


Fayetteville, NC -- Univision kicks off its recently launched health initiative Salud es Vida…Enterate! with its first public affairs special program  Habitos Sano…Vida Sana on Saturday, December 13th at 10:00AM. Hosted by Maria Antonieta Collins, this program will focus on how a healthy lifestyle can help prevent the onset of certain diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and obesity.

The special will feature interviews with doctors and medical specialists in various fields, who will explain the various lifestyle risk factors relating to each condition along with testimonials of people who have suffered from these conditions and have been able to better their health through a balanced diet and proper physical activity.

Habitos Sano…Vida Sana will provide information and reachable goals for implementing certain measures that will help our viewers take control and fine-tune their lifestyle to directly improve their health.  For example, in relation to exercise, we will not only explain what could be done within a gym scenario, but also highlight physical activities within our everyday lives such as walking or gardening, amongst others, which are also effective in maintaining a certain level of activity.

In addition, the special will offer tips on how to enjoy traditional cuisine in a balanced and nutritious manner. The program will also offer resources for our viewers to access additional information on these topics.

The main goal of Habitos Sano…Vida Sana is to create a general awareness of the importance of sustaining a healthy lifestyle in order to maintain yourself healthful to be able to enjoy life to it’s fullest….at every stage of life.

Following this program, Univision 40’s regularly scheduled Enfoque Latino (Latino Focus) public affairs program, will air at 10:30 AM. This specially scheduled Enfoque Latino will focus on the possible effects, drinking prevention and the legal consequences of drinking under the influence of alcohol.
